Q: How do I get a birthday announcement on BT Celebrations?

A: Celebrating a birthday? Please send your pictures and information to us really, really early! It is best to send in your pictures two months in advance. Please do not call – this will not speed up or help the process.

Although we cannot guarantee your submissions will make it to the air due to the high volume of entries, all of your celebrations are important to us and we thank you for sharing your special moments with us..

Q: I won something! How do I claim my prize?

A: Unless otherwise instructed, all prize winners must pick up their prizes within 7 days of winning from our offices at:

Prizes cannot be mailed out to winners.
Prizes can be picked up Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Q. Do you have internships at Breakfast Television?

A. Yes, we do have internship opportunities at BT. We only consider students at the post-secondary level of education. They must be studying Radio and Television, Media, Journalism or Broadcasting, and the internship must be part of their school curriculum. There are a limited of unpaid production and digital internship positions available per term.

Each term is four months in duration, from September to December, January to April, and May to August. Both production and digital positions require a commitment from the student. These positions are full time, five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for production internships and 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for digital internships.

The internships are focused on live, multi-platform production–broadcast and digital. The day-to-day pace is a hectic one and requires students with maturity, initiative, and enthusiasm.

Should you fulfill the requirements and wish to apply for one of the positions, please forward a resume and cover letter indicating which term you would like, as well as the student placement officer’s name and phone number.

Q: Something on your website/mobile app isn’t working properly. How do I report it?

A: If you are facing problems with our digital platforms including website, videos, or mobile apps, please email web@bttoronto.ca describing the issue in detail, the browser and operating system you are using, any screenshots you may have, and note whether this is a reoccurring issue.  We will make sure to review, and if necessary, work to resolve any errors in a timely manner.

Q: Help! I can’t get BT Toronto’s live stream on the City Video mobile apps! What happened to it?

A: The live stream is located on the homepage of BTtoronto.ca between 5:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. It is responsive and works on your computer, tablet, and mobile devices. You can also view the show live and on demand through our new Breakfast Television mobile app for iOS and Android. Happy viewing!

Q: How do I get a copy of a BT Toronto story?

A: In order to obtain a DVD copy of a story or segment from Breakfast Television please forward as much information as possible in regards to the segment, such as:

– Date and approx time the segment aired.
– Name of person interviewed or product mentioned.
– Was the segment live on location with the Live Eye Crew, or was it held in our studio?

*Please note there is a cut-off period of 60 days from when the segment aired, in which to request a copy. On approval of your request, BT will release a copy of a story or segment for your personal viewing only. Please note that any video provided to you by BT Toronto is for personal viewing and company archive use only. The video cannot be used for sales or promotional use, posting on websites, or for re-broadcast on any medium. For a copy of the release form, click here. There is a $75 dubbing charge per segment requested, and you will be required to sign a “Programming Release Form” prior to receiving a DVD dub of your requested segment.All dub requests are subject to approval. Processing time is between 1 – 2 weeks.
