Connor McDavid takes an apparent jab at Tortorella: ‘I guess I gotta just shut up’ about penalties

Last week, former head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets, John Tortorella, provided some unsolicited advice to Connor McDavid, captain of the Edmonton Oilers. Urging McDavid to stop petitioning refs for penalties, Tortorella stated, “just shut up. Don’t talk about it”. When asked about penalties in a recent press conference, McDavid made an apparent clap back to Tortorella saying, "I guess I just gotta shut up about this.”
